Easy, Quick-Rise Pizza Dough

 

Quick & Easy Pizza Dough

This pizza dough is fantastic because it rises in just ten minutes – just enough time for you to prepare your delicious pizza toppings! You are certainly welcome to use all whole-wheat flour here instead of a white + whole wheat mix, however you might find your crust turns our more crunchy and less chewy. Do some experimenting and see what you love!

TIP: You can freeze pre-made pizza dough for later use! Depending on how many people you’re making pizza for, you could prepare half the recipe for one pizza and freeze the other half for later use. Or, you could take some extra time one day to prepare the pizza dough and freeze both halves for when you need them!

Makes 2 thin pizza crusts

Ingredients:

2 1/4 tsp yeast
1 tsp white sugar
1 cup warm water
1 cup white flour
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 450 F
  2. Dissolve yeast, sugar and warm water, let sit for 10 minutes
  3. Stir in flour, olive oil, salt. Let sit for 5 minutes
  4. Roll dough on a pizza stone or cookie sheet
  5. Add sauce and desired topping
